Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to support our finance function on a contract basis for up to 6-months.In this key role, you'll help manage and process the financial operations of our clinic, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all activities. Working closely with both the finance and operations teams, you'll assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and management accounts to ensure that clinical and financial data are aligned and reliable.You'll play an important part in maintaining the smooth running of the finance function, driving process efficiency, and ensuring robust financial control during this fixed-term period.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport month-end and year-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.Maintain accurate general ledger information and assist with management accounts preparation.Monitor income and expenditure to ensure accurate cost and revenue allocation.Prepare financial reports and summaries for senior management.Support audit preparation and ensure data integrity across financial systems.Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls.Essential qualifications and experience:Degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Accounting, or Business and at least 4 years' experience in a finance role involving management accounts, reconciliations, and month-end close.Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero).Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and time management skills.Desirable:Experience within healthcare, research, or project-based organisations.Familiarity with integrated operational and finance systems (e.g. CTMS, ERP).If you can bring solid finance experience and a hands-on approach to problem solving, and you are accurate and methodical, this may be the temporary role for you.
