Job DescriptionAbout the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Social Work Academy at Peterborough City Council.This is a pivotal role supporting the development of newly qualified social workers (ASYE) and mentoring less experienced team members. You will play a key part in shaping the future of social work practice through supervision, coaching, and assessment.Key Responsibilities:Provide supervision and Practice Educator support to ASYE social workers under the direction of the Team Manager.Carry a complex caseload appropriate to your qualifications, experience, and competencies, with a high degree of autonomy and regular supervision.Coach and mentor less experienced staff, promoting best practice and continuous professional development.Work collaboratively with service users and their families to assess needs and deliver appropriate services.Ensure all work is carried out within the legislative and procedural framework of Peterborough City Council.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social work practice and contribute to the development of the Social Work Academy.What We're Looking For:Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.Experience in supervising and mentoring social workers, ideally within an ASYE framework.Strong understanding of social work legislation, policy, and procedures.Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.Commitment to promoting high standards of practice and continuous learning.
