Who you areYou’re a software engineer with at least 5 years commercial experienceYou have a genuine enthusiasm for software engineering and take no greater pleasure than finding the right solution to the problem at hand and making practical tradeoffsYou are excited about contributing to a product that can drive positive change to the lives of millions of people around the worldYou have strong ownership mindset - “you build it, you run it”You’re eager to continuously learn, grow and step out of your comfort zoneThe idea of working in a successful, high growth startup in a fast paced role excites youWhat you will doDevelop scalable & reliable systemsDevelop core functionality for our own customer-facing and internal products, systems and data platforms, and e-commerce capabilities using modern frameworksDevelop extensible platforms and architectures that make it possible to quickly and efficiently launch new products and lines of businessDevelop and maintain integrations with third-party systemsDevelop the APIs powering the web & mobile platforms for our product portfolioDrive impact in a team environmentYou’ll work with other software engineers, designers, QAs, product managers, business stakeholders and domain expertsYou’ll drive impact and own your work end-to-end - from scoping & planning, architectural design decisions, implementation and testing, to production deployment and operations.What we need from youAt least 5 years of commercial experience as a software engineer or equivalentExperience building web backends in Node.js/Typescript or a willingness to learn on the jobFamiliarity with scalable cloud architectures, design patterns and best practicesPractical experience with CI/CD and IaC (Infrastructure-as-code)Experience with databases & data management practices - relational databases & search enginesExperience with TDD and testable code - unit / integration / performance testingGreat verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way to non-engineering teammatesAbility to zoom in and out - be comfortable with getting into the relevant low-level details while also making the optimal tradeoffs for achieving the “big picture” goalsThis is a hybrid role and you need to be based in Sofia (BG) so you can be in the office 3 days per weekExperience you may haveA degree in CS or equivalent is a plusPractical experience with building scalable & highly reliable cloud systems that support product used by millions of users around the world 24/7Familiarity with modern JS frameworksExperience working in cross functional teamsAn eye for user behaviour and design and attention to detailOur hiring processTeam fit interview: you'll meet with product & tech leaders (45 mins)System Design Interview (60 mins)Meet the exec team (45 minsDebrief (15 mins)Offer
