Job DescriptionEngineering Manager | LondonAre you ready for a career-defining leadership role where you can shape strategy, influence investment, and build a high-performing engineering team in a modern manufacturing environment?We’re partnering with a forward-thinking food manufacturing site in London to recruit an Engineering Manager into a key position on their Site Leadership Team.This is a highly visible role offering real influence over performance, people, and long-term site strategy.You’ll take ownership of the engineering function, leading a small, skilled team of engineers and contractors, while driving reliability, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.Package: Circa £67,500 base salary + guaranteed 20% bonus making it over £80,000The OpportunityThis role offers a genuine mix of strategic leadership and hands-on operational impact. You’ll shape the long-term engineering roadmap while ensuring day-to-day maintenance excellence, asset reliability, and production support.You’ll be trusted to lead CAPEX projects, modernisation programmes, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement — with full backing from the wider leadership team.What You’ll Be Leading * A small, multi-shift engineering team plus external contractors * Site-wide maintenance strategy (PPM, reactive, and reliability-centred) * CAPEX delivery, asset renewal and site improvement projects * Engineering support to production, NPD and site upgrades * Health, Safety & Compliance across all engineering activities * Site infrastructure including utilities, building fabric and plant systemsYou’ll play a central role in minimising downtime, improving efficiency, and ensuring engineering enables production — not restricts it.What They’re Looking For * Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Engineering Team Lead role * Background in manufacturing or fast-paced production environments * Strong people leader with experience managing a small technical team * Confident with maintenance strategy, CAPEX, compliance and contractor management * Proactive, data-driven and improvement-focused * Comfortable operating at senior site leadership levelWhy This Role Stands Out * True Site Leadership Team position with strategic influence * Ownership of engineering strategy and investment * Lead and develop a tight-knit, high-performing team * Work in a business that values modern engineering, sustainability and innovation * Strong stability with a structured long-term roadmap * £67,500 base salary + guaranteed 20% bonusThe Bottom LineIf you’re an ambitious Engineering Manager looking for a progressive next step where you can influence strategy, develop people, and take real ownership of site performance — this role offers the platform to do exactly that.Apply now
