Job DescriptionAs we win new work our workload increases, which means we have an exciting opportunity to join our established Belfast Engineering team. You will have responsibility for design and management of mechanical building services projects in complex buildings, including refurbishing existing buildings. In some cases, you will be part of a larger team on major projects, as well as managing your own projects.The role:Responsible for the delivery of engineering design solutions encompassingall aspects of mechanical building services engineering consultancyEnd to end process taking designs from concept to site and through commissioningCarry out calculations and co-ordinate mechanical services to a high level of accuracyWork within a team delivering complex and large scale projectsWork across a number of sectors including, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education and leisure within both public and private domainsMentor and support the development of junior members of staff including Graduates and ApprenticesUnderstanding of contractual matters, project management, managing team and change control.About You:You will be expected to have a relevant education and experience in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and be a member of the CIBSE, IMechE, IET or equivalent professional body, although relevant design experience would be considered.Ability to handle meetings with Clients and Contractors through all project stagesRelevant experience in design and supervision of projects;Either Chartered Engineer or working towards chartered statusRelevant experience in design and management of projects.Experience in the health, education and/or defence sectors would be beneficalCurrent driving licence;Ability to working within a team and major complex projects throughout the UK;Experience in AutoCAD, National Engineering Spec (NES) Microsoft office;REVIT experience welcomed;Understanding of IES or other thermal modelling softwareEnergy Assessor capability would be welcomedUnderstanding of BREEAM on M&E Services;Understanding of Hevacomp or other calculation softwareWillingness to travel for project work, withinUK and Ireland, is essentialWillingness to travel for project work, worldwide on short period is welcomeWillingness to obtain necessary Security Clearances, is beneficialAbout Tetra Tech:Tetra Tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.
