Job DescriptionOur client is looking to hire a detail-oriented Estimator to join their manufacturing team. This key Estimator role involves assessing project requirements, gathering data, and producing precise cost estimates during the pre-production phase. The successful candidate will work closely with product specifications, project managers, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed within budget.Key Responsibilities as an Estimator:Project Analysis:Evaluate product specifications and production processes to determine accurate cost estimates.Cost Estimation:Calculate project costs including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.Bid Preparation:Develop accurate and competitive bids for manufacturing projects.Supplier Coordination:Collaborate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.Project Management:Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.Documentation:Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bids, and project data.Communication:Ensure clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and suppliers.Continuous Improvement:Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.To succeed in this Estimator role, the candidate will possess:Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.Analytical skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and workflows.If this Estimator opportunity suits you, please dont hesitate to apply, and get in touch with Jemma, Orion Reading.JBRP1_UKTJ
