Job DescriptionMechanical EstimatorAn excellent opportunity to develop your career with a large construction company with impressive growth & a great reputation.Compensation & BenefitsThis role offers a comprehensive package to attract top talent: * A competitive salary ranging from £50k to £60k, dependent on experience. * An additional £8k car allowance * 35 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays. * Enhanced pension and contractual sick pay. * Enhanced maternity and paternity pay (subject to a qualifying period) * Access to the Cycle to Work scheme and an on-site gymThe RoleAs a mechanical estimator it will be vitaly important to focus on preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a diverse range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pipework, and large-scale decarbonisation schemes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, playing a crucial part in securing new business and ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects.Key Responsibilities Include: * Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, encompassing HVAC, plumbing, and pipework. * Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings, * Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotations. * Conducting site visits and attending pre-tender meetings as required. * Collaborating with the projects team to facilitate smooth handover and project delivery. * Maintaining and updating estimating tools and databases.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will possess proven experience in mechanical estimating, with an emphasis on large-scale decarbonisation projects.
