Senior Urban Designer, Prior + PartnersPrior + Partners is expanding our London studio and seeking experienced Masterplanners and Urban Designers to join our growing team. Our studio of over 100 practitioners consists of urban designers, architects, masterplanners, town planners, landscape architects, economists and digital specialists. We achieve this through close collaboration with clients, partners and communities - a process of dialogue, drawing and design - turning bold ideas into masterplans, neighbourhoods and distinct and memorable places.Join us on our journey to help transform our cities and neighbourhoods into better places to live, work and playAbout the RoleKey responsibilities will include the application of professional knowledge and expertise across the following areas : Contributing to designs, development and options for masterplans (pre-concept, concept & detailed)Place visions and strategic growth frameworksSite analysis and assessmentReport writing and productionIllustrations and visualisations across different formats (reports, presentations, sketch)Contributing to the development and co-ordination of development schedulesCo-ordination with sub-consultants and design partnersContributing to the development of design briefsContributing to presentations and design reviews in meetingsSite allocation and capacity studiesSocial Value applicationContribution to client team workshops and meetingsInternal team meetings and co-ordinationAbout YouArchitecture/ landscape/urban design or related degree4+ years experience working in urban design/masterplanning/architecture delivering complex, large-scale projectsCollaborative, curious, ambitiousStrategic thinker + hands-on designerStrong visual and graphic skillsHappy working in a teamConfident guiding and mentoring junior colleagues Fluent in English – spoken and written proficiencySelf-motivated with good time management and ability to work to deadlinesComprehensive knowledge and experience with Adobe CC SuiteWorking knowledge of GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) is advantageousExperience in Rhino and Grasshopper/parametric design tools is advantageousGood understanding of UK planning applications (Outline/Detailed) is advantageousIf you don't tick every box but bring creativity, rigour, and drive, we'd love to hear from you.Why Prior + Partners?Great studio culture Competitive salariesHybrid working: two remote and three studio days each weekGood work/life/play balanceCareer growth and development opportunitiesEmployee-Owned Trust (EOT) which means you share in the success and profit of the practice whilst shaping its futureA collaborative and supportive work environmentWork on projects that influence real changeApply NowSend CV + portfolio to careers@priorpartners.com (direct applications only).We're an equal opportunities employer.
