For the right candidate, there is strong potential for the role to become permanent.This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school where English is a central part of the curriculum, with high expectations matched by excellent pastoral support and professional development.The RoleDeliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4Teach both English Language and English Literature, adapting resources to meet student needsSupport student progress through effective planning, assessment, and feedbackCollaborate with the English department on curriculum development and literacy initiativesContribute to a positive learning environment that promotes reading for pleasure, critical thinking, and strong communication skillsWhat We're Looking ForQualified English teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching literature and languageReflective and committed classroom practitioner, focused on pupil progressAbility to manage classroom behaviour effectively and support learners of all abilitiesTeam player with strong communication skills and a commitment to school valuesEarly Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
