Job DescriptionSenior Backend Developer (PHP)We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join a rapidly growing technology team and help build innovative security solutions.About the RoleThis position involves working on advanced online protection tools and applications designed to keep users safe across multiple devices. Our products include antivirus software, VPN services, ad blockers, and password managers, all aimed at simplifying digital security for a global user base.Technology StackYou'll be part of a web development team responsible for user onboarding platforms, customer account portals, and APIs powering our applications. Our core technologies include PHP, nginx, RabbitMQ, and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform). We use custom frameworks and provide full training.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for complex challengesResearch emerging technologies and integrate best practices into development workflowsMentor and guide other developers on technical standardsEnhance and maintain existing software systems for optimal performanceRequired Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of commercial experience with PHPStrong understanding of cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP)Proficiency with data storage technologies such as MySQL and NoSQL (eg, Cassandra)Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)Excellent debugging and analytical skillsExperience using code profiling tools for performance optimizationKnowledge of Kubernetes is advantageousWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary up to £55,000Annual performance bonus of up to 10%28 days annual leave plus additional accrual for length of serviceBirthday leaveComplimentary meals, snacks, and beveragesCompany pension schemeComprehensive health and dental coverageDeath in Service benefitHealth assessmentsStreaming subscriptionsGym and golf membershipsFood allowance at local venuesOnsite gym, cocktail bar, and beer fridgesOnsite hairdressing servicesAnd much more5 days a week in the Fareham OfficePlease send me a copy of your CV if you meet the above
