You'll be the main point of contact for the Finance Directorate on all matters relating to their financial management and reporting of management expenses.If you're looking for a role that provides a scope of operational responsibilities together with direct access and support to senior managers and GEC (Board) members, then we would love to hear from you. This role will suit a qualified accountant with in-house experience from within the private sector.What you'll be doing: You'll be the Finance lead for the CFO Directorate and Property Division, providing effective expense guidance and challenge on their expense base.Interpretation of financial reporting to support CFO decision making when it comes to expense management.Support the Finance Directorate to make decisions within their expense base to ensure they meet their strategic objectives. Covering sensitive topics such as headcount, promotions and remuneration review.Responsible for the Budget, Reforecast and Monthly reporting for all Divisions within the Finance Directorate.Completion of month end activities including accruals and prepayments, understanding of variances and monitoring of opportunities & vulnerabilities and the production of controls & reconciliations in a timely manner.Produce financial calculations in business cases for the Finance Directorate.Provide guidance on supplier management linking up with relevant Procurement colleagues for the Directorate – supporting best commercial outcomes for SJP. What we're looking for: Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) or qualified by experience within similar finance business partnering roles.Knowledge and experience of using ERP and expense management systems.Knowledge and experience of expense management practices, including budgeting and forecasting.Ability to take financial information and articulate it in a clear way to a variety of audiences, from general budget holders up to the GEC member.Use historical data and trends to make informed predictions for future planning.Be able to articulate any impact on a relevant business area as a result of financial decisions and also any further impact to the SJP business or SJP's objectives.Ability to work effectively as a team player alongside other Finance Business Partners and the expense management team.Knowledge of IFRS16 accounting standards (desirable, not essential).
