This position will be responsible for the management, operation and processing of Fortegra Speciality's reinsurance programme, including ceded reinsurance treaties.The role will operate across Specialty's UK and EU business and will involve reinsurance treaty accounting, bordereaux validation and analysis and contract interpretation.The role will report to the Manager, Speciality Reinsurance. The successful candidate will be joining an experienced and motivated team working across all lines of business. They must be able to build strong working relationships with MGA partners, reinsurance intermediaries, underwriters and other internal stakeholders. This is a London based role, working in the office 5 days per week.Key AccountabilitiesPreparation of cession statements and supporting informationBordereaux validation and analysisReview and interpretation of reinsurance contracts and agreementsAlignment with Finance team to ensure accurate financial accounting and reportingAlignment and engagement with underwriting teamSkills & CompetenciesExperience of ceded reinsurance structures, programmes and processes is essential;UK and / or European insurance experience preferred;Experience of delegated authority market is beneficial;Competent use of Microsoft applications;Strong analytic skills and numerical aptitude is essential;Confident in personal ability and willing to develop personal and business skill set;Good verbal and written communication skills, together with the ability to work well in a dynamic team environment;Trustworthy, loyal and honest with high integrity;Team player with the ability to work with, collaborate with and take direction from other people;Results driven and takes responsibility for own actions;Ability to meet deadlines within compromising consistency in the process;Attention to detail;Experienced in dealing with and handling sensitive informationKey DeliverablesProduction of reinsurance cession statements and supporting information;Premium and claims bordereaux verification and co-ordination for onward distribution to reinsurance partners;Reinsurance contracts and agreements in placeQualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalentExperienceBackground of working in an organisation with strong reinsurance accounting links
