We are looking for a passionate Cost Consultant apprentice who is eager to get stuck in and learn about the commercial delivery of buildings and infrastructure projects across all industry sectors.This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver infrastructure programmes across the energy & power, transportation, and water sectors — supporting groundbreaking work that impacts communities and reshapes our built environment.As an apprentice you can expect to get involved inCost estimating, checking and reviewing quantities and ratesCost planningProcurement strategy and reviewing documentsContracts draftingChange control and reviewing variationsCarrying out site-based valuations for paymentShadowing client and contractor meetingsDriving and supporting knowledge sharing sessionsSupporting directors and other staff with checking documentsAs a new apprentice in the Commercial, Funding & Finance team, you will have the support of a mentor and your team to oversee and guide your development. You will be supported with your degree education, and to achieve chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) through the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).Here's what you'll needA minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points or equivalentA keen interest in developing a career in the consultancy and surveying sectorStrong communication and teamworking skillsA flexible and proactive self-starter who's passionate about developing new skillsThe ability to adapt and prioritise whilst juggling work and study prioritiesEnthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problemsEmpathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients' requirementsA well-rounded person – worked in a bar?
