In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of automated test solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure, and resilient software.You'll play a key part in defining and evolving our test automation strategy in line with global engineering best practices while mentoring junior engineers and promoting a culture of quality across the development lifecycle.Responsibilities:Strong expertise in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Core Java/Java, and CucumberAct as a senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), preferably with experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domainParticipate in refinement sessions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of functional requirements and associated testing needsDefine and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure adherence to established quality standardsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior SDETs and QA engineers in applying testing and automation best practicesEvaluate, establish, and continuously maintain the scope of testing activities to validate system functionality and sustain consistent product qualityStay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to support the ongoing evolution and optimisation of the automated testing frameworkAdvocate for quality engineering principles across the software development lifecycle and facilitate effective cross-functional collaborationDeep knowledge in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scriptsAnalyse requirements to identify all necessary functional and non-functional testing within established timelinesDesign and execute tests using approved automation, functional, and performance testing tools, aligned with the overall test strategyEnsure products meet minimum quality standards and are fully functional, reliable, and user-friendlyApply all relevant quality assurance protocols, processes, and procedures comprehensivelyStrictly adhere to specified functional requirements and established QA standardsTroubleshoot and resolve quality assurance-related issues or defects effectivelyDemonstrated proficiency in SQL/Database management and JMeterExperience and knowledge in API and services testing as well as UI testingConduct performance, functional, and regression testing, including root cause analysis.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline6 years of relevant experience in test automation and quality engineeringExperience in architecting and coding automated test solutionsHas written and led development for automated test initiatives using relevant technologies (Java, PL/SQL)Can demonstrate leadership in test automation architecture, driving change and strategic decisions across teamsExperience working in a modern, mature, and heavily test-automated business environmentProficiency in multiple testing frameworks and testing stylesStrong knowledge of QA methodologies and automation practicesAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative, engaging, and inclusive environment and are committed to providing a workplace that empowers associates to be authentic and bring their best to work.
