This role sits at the heart of delivering high-profile, mission-critical programmes — ensuring projects run seamlessly and deliver real impact.Role Overview:Location: New Malden (Hybrid working)Package: Competitive salary + bonus + flexible benefitsIndustry: Defence / TechnologyWhat You'll Be Doing:Oversee the cost, schedule, and performance control of multi-million-pound defence projects.Develop and maintain project baselines, ensuring progress and spend are tracked effectively.Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to measure and report performance.Use Primavera P6 and Deltek COBRA to plan, monitor, and forecast delivery.Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions and ensure integration across teams.Produce accurate cost estimates, forecasts, and variance analyses to inform key decisions.Support change control, accruals, invoicing, and expense management activities.Champion project control best practice across the wider PMO.Main Skills Needed:Proven background in project controls, cost management, or planning within defence or other regulated sectors.Strong understanding of EVM methodologies and associated reporting standards.Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and cost management systems such as COBRA.Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the confidence to influence at all levels.Professional qualifications (or working towards) in project management or project controls (e.g. APM, PMP, ChPP).Eligible for SC security clearance (UK nationals only).What's in It for You:Hybrid and flexible working options, including compressed hours with alternate Fridays off.Private healthcare, performance-related bonus, and a wide range of employee benefits.Strong focus on professional development with access to training and career progression.Work on cutting-edge defence programmes that make a genuine difference.Think it could be a fit?
