Job DescriptionOur client, a leading company in the rail sector, is seeking a Lead Engineer/CRE (Civils) for a long-term contract based in the North West region. This role will involve working on a large rail infrastructure project and requires a strong background in civils, particularly lineside civils. The successful applicant will be working inside IR35.Key Responsibilities:Leading the delivery of civil engineering projects within the rail sectorBe the design & construction interfaceManaging and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the project engineering teamEnsuring compliance with relevant safety standards and regulationsActing as the Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE) for civil worksCoordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful project deliveryProviding technical guidance and ensuring quality control throughout project phasesPreparing and reviewing project documentation and reportsMaintaining effective communication with the client and project teamJob Requirements:Extensive experience in civil engineering within the rail industryProven experience performing CRE duties and obtaining sign-offStrong understanding of lineside civils and associated challengesHolder of a valid PTS/Sentinel certificationExcellent project management and leadership skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple prioritiesIf you are an experienced rail Lead Engineer/CRE (Civils) looking for a long-term contract role in a dynamic rail infrastructure project, we would love to hear from you.
