You'll be at the heart of innovation, working on projects that meet international standards and regulatory requirements.What You'll Be DoingAs a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:Lead and manage the Mechanical Design team, overseeing capacity planning, resource allocation, and performance development.Produce system drawings, general arrangements, sub-assemblies, and detailed part drawings using 2D CAD and 3D Autodesk Inventor, in line with QHE design principles.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, Sales, R&D, and external suppliers and technical agencies.Implement design-for-manufacture principles and drive configuration management across the product range.Produce Pipe & Instrumentation Diagrams, Bill of Materials, and maintain technical documentation to ISO standards.Support recruitment, training, and formal appraisals within the Mechanical Design team.Provide design support to Manufacturing, Sales, and R&D, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.What You'll BringA degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.Solid experience in mechanical design, ideally in special purpose machinery or manufacturing.Proven experience in leading and developing engineering teams.Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.Strong knowledge of sheet metal and machined component design, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and manufacturing processes.Experience in the chemical and processing industry is highly advantageous.Ability to produce manufacturing-ready documentation and manage technical files to ISO standards.High proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent English communication skills.What's in it for you?Competitive pay programs with bonus opportunities.Permanent contract.2 annual days paid volunteering leave to dedicate to the cause of your choice.QH University: Continuous training tools for all seniority levels.Wellbeing, Mental Health, Colleague Resource Groups & other attractive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs.Opportunities to see your efforts contribute toward the success of the business.
