Job DescriptionWe are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Automotive Technical Assessor to be based in Aberdeen with regular travel to the North and surrounding areas.Why choose us?In return for your skills, you will receive one of the best employee benefits packages in the automotive industry which includes:33 days' annual leavePrivate healthcareGenerous discounts on vehicle purchases, services, parts, rentals, insurance and moreWorkplace pensionExtensive training opportunitiesSimplyhealth - all employees have access to a GP 24/7 and can claim money back on medical and dental treatmentsHoursFull time: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pmAbout the roleAs an assessor for GTG Training, Arnold Clark's training division, you will visit Level 3 apprentices at their place of work to carry out reviews and assessments.The successful candidate will have a high level of occupational competency and hold an industry-recognised qualification in Automotive Maintenance and Repair.You will also be a skilled communicator, able to nurture and support apprentices and inspire them to achieve successful careers in the automotive industry.Day-to-day dutiesCarrying out competency-based reviews and assessments at apprentices' workplaces, ensuring progression of their Level 3 qualificationMeasuring student progress against industry and awarding body standardsProviding supported learning and guidance to apprentices and their employers, where requiredTravelling to various workplaces across the areaAssisting apprentices in building an evidence portfolio from their workplace tasksCompleting Skills Development Scotland (SDS) documentation within the set timescalesCompleting awarding body targets within set timeframesEssential requirementsAn industry-recognised qualification in Automotive Maintenance and Repair Level 3 Light/Heavy Vehicle or equivalentStrong communication skills and the ability to engage honestly and effectively with young adultsAbility to work independently and achieve deadlinesA high level of accuracy and ability to multi-taskA good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelA full UK driving licenceNice to have (but not essential)Previous assessing and training experience would be advantageousOur CultureArnold Clark is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
