Traffic EngineerLocation: London | HybridProject Centre, part of Marston Holdings are seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team based in our London officeAs a Traffic Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of traffic, active travel, and road safety schemes while producing high-quality technical outputs and guiding junior team members throughout the project lifecycle.What you will be doing:Develop feasibility, preliminary, and detailed designs for a wide range of traffic engineering schemes, including active travel and bus priority facilities, school streets, junction and corridor improvements, and road safety studies.Ensure that the quality of outputs is in line with the project brief and Project Centre's Quality Assurance procedures.Produce detailed technical reports and cost estimates, contributing specialist knowledge where required.Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, reviewing their outputs such as drawings and reports to ensure consistency and quality.Undertake design risk assessments and prepare pre-construction information in accordance with CDM Regulations.Coordinate effectively with local authorities, clients, and multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.What are we looking for?Relevant Degree or HND/HNC in engineering or equivalent qualifications.Membership of a professional institution e.g., MIHE, MICE or MCIHT or aiming towards.A professional qualification such as IEng or CEng or aiming towards.Good understanding of highways and traffic engineering techniques and principles with proven experience in the design of traffic and highways schemes using AutoCAD.Experience in designing junctions such as roundabouts and/or traffic signal junctions.Experience in designing active travel schemes and/or bus priority.Familiarity with TSRGD, DMRB, Manual for Streets and other relevant legislation and design standards.Understanding of CDM and Health and Safety.Bonus skills (not essential but amazing to have):Experience in using KeySIGN/SignPlot and/or KeyLINES.Experience in using AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience in using GIS software.Traffic modelling experience using LinSig and/or PICADY/ARCADY.Experience in the detailed design of traffic engineering schemes.Road Safety Audit experience.What's in it for you?Competitive salary: up to £40,000 DOEFlexible hybrid working (3 days per week in the office)Leave Benefits: Competitive (including bank holidays) we all deserve to enjoy a break from workFamily Friendly Benefits: enhanced Maternity & Paternity package (subject to eligibility criteria)Health and Wellbeing: full access to our Employee Assistance Programme, Wellbeing Hub and Gym Discounts because your health and wellbeing is important to usEmployee Perks: enjoy online and instore discounts and perks from your favourite retail shops, travel and social placesReward and Recognition: your efforts won't go unnoticedGreen Travel: Cycle to Work and Green Car Salary Sacrifice Schemes are available (subject to eligibility) because the environment matters to usCompany Pension Scheme we'll help you save for your futureContinuous professional development & pathway towards chartershipIf this sounds like the job for you, please apply....
