Job DescriptionQuantity Surveyor - Highways - Freelance Your new company Operating both in the UK and across the world, they are a leading contractor delivering projects across multiple sectors including; real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water. Your new role Working on the largest highways project in the region involving a new 10 mile dual carriageway, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the project team where you will bring strong contract knowledge and stakeholder management skills to support the successful delivery of the project. Key Responsibilities: Provide commercial support across project delivery, including forecasting, reporting, and cost control Manage Applications for Payment, Compensation Events, and contract communications Support procurement and supply chain management within budget and time constraints Maintain accurate cost records and support agreement of costs with site representatives Oversee control accounts, value drawdown, and spend profiling Utilise commercial systems and cost forecasting tools Ensure compliance with contractual obligations Promote a collaborative, shared success approach with stakeholders What you'll need to succeed Previous experience on Highways or Infrastructure projects Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience working with NEC forms of contract Familiarity with commercial systems such as Oracle, CEMAR, and Projectwise What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
