If you enjoy hands-on work within an organisation that makes a real difference in peoples’ lives then this could be the perfect opportunity for youAbout the role…In this role, you will be using your technical, communication and attention to detail skills to directly improve the lives of our residents. Collaboration is key, as you will be working with a variety of other Estate Officers, and our friendly administrative staff and other colleagues, to achieve our goals.In addition to your technical skills, warm and friendly communication is essential as you will be the friendly face of Fairhive for our tenants.The key duties of the role will include: * Providing a flexible, responsive, high quality estate monitoring service to Fairhive’s housing estates and communal areas * Identifying and diagnosing repair works required within communal areas and determine the best value for money solution. * Acting as a ‘good neighbour’, providing a point of contact for any enquiries residents have about their homes or services that we provide * Supporting the health & safety of residents living within our flatted blocks * Working flexibly to manage a patch of flatted blocks, which at times might include Rossiter House, in relation to their operational safety, maintenance, waste management arrangements, cleanliness, grounds maintenance and overall appearance * Undertaking monthly health and safety inspections of communal areas of flatted blocks, following up on actions identified and ensuring items are dealt with promptly. * Making safe and reporting any Health & Safety matters which might constitute a danger on our estates * Monitoring contractor performance (cleaning / grounds maintenance) to support the wider aims & objectives of the Estate Service work and support the H & S Team to ensure that the flatted blocks are safe for our residents.For more information, please refer to the attached job descriptionAbout youYou’ll have: * Practical minor repair skills in a range of areas * A strong awareness of current Health & Safety regulations * A valid and current driving licence * Good organisational, time management, and problem solving skills * Basic IT skillsAbout usAt Fairhive Homes, we’re driven by a simple yet powerful vision: “Homes for Living, Communities for Life” This isn’t just what we do; it’s what we strive for every day.
