The firm takes pride in its modern, tech-driven approach to client solutions.The Accounting & Business Advisory Assistant Manager Opportunity in NottinghamAs an Assistant Manager, you'll play a pivotal role within the team - overseeing a varied client portfolio, supporting the partner group, and developing the next generation of talent. You'll gain early visibility and progression opportunities, with a clear path to Manager level in the short term.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop a portfolio of clients, reporting directly to partners.Prepare and review statutory and management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping assignments.Champion cloud accounting solutions, particularly Xero, supporting clients in digital transformation.Help clients interpret financial data and deliver actionable business insights.Support training and development for junior staff across bookkeeping and accounts production.Work closely with managers to identify process improvements and new client opportunities.Collaborate on strategic projects aligned with the firm's Cloud Accounting growth strategy.About YouProfessionally qualified (ACA / ACCA / AAT) or qualified by experience.Significant practice experience, including accounts prep, VAT, and management reporting.Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential) and familiarity with Sage, QuickBooks, or CCH.Confident communicator with strong client relationship and presentation skills.Passionate about technology, efficiency, and helping clients build successful businesses.Experienced in supervising and mentoring junior staff.What's on OfferCompetitive salary.Option to purchase additional leave.Hybrid working available following probation.A genuinely supportive culture focused on professional development and work-life balance.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, technology, and client interaction - and who's ready to take ownership of their next career move in a respected and forward-looking firm.
