Job DescriptionOur client, a leading organisation in the procurement supply chain sector, is currently seeking a Head of Commercial/Procurement to join their team on a contract basis in Brighton. This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring presence in the office eight days per month.Key Responsibilities:Leading the entire commercial lifecycle, including procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship managementEnsuring compliance with best practices, legislative requirements, and organisational guidelinesDeveloping and executing commercial strategies that support business continuity and outstanding supplier outcomesManaging the commercial team and fostering collaborative relationships across the organisationOverseeing major projects and outsourced contractsProviding innovative commercial solutions and maintaining robust contractual frameworksReporting to the Director of Finance and playing a pivotal role in decision-making processesJob Requirements:MCIPS, BIFM, or equivalent professional qualificationProven experience in strategic procurement and contract management, especially with major outsourced contractsStrong knowledge of contract law, supplier management, and commercial best practiceDemonstrable leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teamsExcellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation abilitiesEffective communicator with strong interpersonal skillsAnalytical and problem-solving mindset, able to make sound decisions and assimilate complex informationExperience working with organisational guidelines, regulatory bodies, and compliance requirementsThe Team:The Commercial Team plays a vital role in supporting and advising the organisation throughout the entire commercial lifecycle.
