Accounts Manager/Assistant Manager

Job DescriptionYour new companyOur client is a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service across the South West. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Manager or Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team and take ownership of a diverse client portfolio. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to a growing practice.Your new roleAct as main point of contact for client portfoliosReview accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, and prepare insightful reportsDraft professional correspondence and client lettersRaise accurate invoices promptlyEnsure deadlines are met for both personal and team workloadMonitor and follow up on outstanding client feesHandle new client enquiries confidentlySupport directors with workload as requiredLiaise with external stakeholders, including HMRC, on behalf of clientsWhat you'll need to succeedExperienced in accountancy practice (ideally ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified)Confident communicator with strong client-facing skillsOrganised, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working independently and collaboratively within a teamProficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office toolsWhat you'll get in returnThey offer a supportive team environment with excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
