Job DescriptionEIA Consultant Location: LondonPenguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading multi-disciplinary planning and design consultancy to recruit an EIA Consultant to join their established Environmental team in London.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to play a central role in the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments across a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and mixed-use schemes.About the RoleAs an EIA Consultant, you will coordinate and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments, supporting planning submissions and ensuring compliance with UK regulations. You will work closely with planners, technical specialists, clients, and stakeholders, delivering high-quality EIA documentation and helping shape sustainable, well-informed development outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate EIA projects from feasibility through to submissionLiaise with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders to support the planning processPrepare Environmental Statements, screening and scoping reportsInstruct and manage specialist sub-consultants and technical inputsContribute to planning strategy, risk identification, and project mitigationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of EIA legislation and best practicesRequirementsA degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Geography or a related fieldProven experience in EIA coordination and deliveryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of the UK planning system and EIA regulationsAbility to manage projects and meet tight deadlinesMembership of IEMA or similar (or working towards)Why Join?Work with a respected consultancy on nationally significant developmentsSupportive team environment with opportunities for career progressionHybrid working model with a base in central LondonCompetitive salary and benefits packageEncouragement of professional development and trainingTo apply, contact Joel Bland at Penguin Recruitment
