Full details of the business can be found on our website (url removed).We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day financial operations and support strategic decision-making through accurate forecasting and reporting. This role combines hands-on financial control (bookkeeping, payments, payroll, VAT, inventory) with oversight of external accountants and collaboration across teams including Supply Chain and Growth. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in financial operations within a fast-paced or startup environment.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & ControlManage day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accounting records (e.g. via Xero)Run accounts payable and receivable, including invoice approvals, payment runs, and cash allocationsCoordinate monthly payroll (including PAYE, pensions, benefits) and ensure accurate input to providersPrepare and file VAT returns; liaise with HMRC where requiredInterface with external accountants for monthly close and year-end filingsMaintain internal financial controls and ensure full audit trail for transactions and approvalsInventory & Supply Chain CollaborationCollaborate with the Director of Supply Chain to manage inventory accounting and reconciliationsOversee cycle counts, stock adjustments, and reporting of COGS in coordination with operations and logisticsSupport monthly and quarterly alignment between physical stock and accounting recordsReporting & ForecastingBuild and update cashflow forecasts, scenario models, and department-level budgetsPrepare monthly internal finance reports with commentary for the CEO and investorsTrack key KPIs including burn, margin, working capital, and customer-level profitabilitySupport R&D tax credit claims, grant reporting, and other statutory or ad hoc financial deliverablesTools & Process ManagementOwn and optimise the use of financial systems (e.g. Xero, Stripe, expense management tools)Ensure timely processing of expenses, reimbursements, and reconciliationsEstablish and maintain finance SOPs across bookkeeping, payments, reporting, and document managementRequired Qualifications:3–5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations (startup or SMEpreferred)Proficiency with Xero and Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with tools like Stripe, etc.Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally (e.g. with Supply Chain, Growth, and Product teams)Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and time managementBonus: experience in physical product companies, inventory systems, or financial modellingCompensation and Location:Hours of work : Full time role ,9am-5pm Monday to Friday.Location: LondonSalary: TBD
