Job DescriptionSEMH Teaching Assistant - SEN School in Croydon Location: Croydon Pay: £90-£115 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, long-termAre you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a well-established SEN school in Croydon.What we're looking for:Experience working with children with SEMH needs or in an SEN environment (desired but not essential)A calm, resilient and proactive approachStrong communication and behaviour management skillsMAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training - this is an essential requirement for the roleSomeone who thrives in a supportive, team-focused environmentRole responsibilities:Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basisAssisting the class teacher with daily learning activitiesHelping create a safe, positive and engaging learning environmentImplementing behaviour plans and de-escalation strategiesBuilding strong, trusting relationships with studentsWhy join this school?
