Youll take a hands-on role while guiding installation standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting junior team members during field operations.This role is ideal for an experienced Solar PV electrician or technician ready to step into a senior, leadership-focused position.ResponsibilitiesLead and carry out the installation of residential Solar PV and battery storage systemsComplete AC and DC wiring, cable routing, containment, and terminationsInstall inverters, batteries, isolators, and associated protection devicesConduct testing, inspection, and commissioning of systemsEnsure installations meet MCS standards, BS 7671, and G98/G99/G100 requirementsInterpret roof surveys, electrical schematics, and system designsIdentify and resolve technical issues on-siteProvide guidance, mentoring, and support to installers and junior techniciansCoordinate with roofers, project managers, and customers to ensure smooth installationsComplete installation documentation, test certificates, and system handoversMaintain exceptional safety, compliance, and workmanship standardsStay up to date with emerging solar and battery technologiesRequirementsRequiredQualified electrician or experienced solar technician with hands-on Solar PV and/or battery installation experienceStrong understanding of electrical installation practices and BS 7671Familiarity with MCS standards and Solar PV installation requirementsAbility to interpret electrical drawings, surveys, and roof layoutsCompetent in inspection, testing, and commissioningHigh attention to detail with a safety-first mindsetStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to support and guide installers on-siteComfortable working independently within a fast-moving environmentUK driving licenceNice to have18th Edition Wiring RegulationsBattery storage training or certification (e.g., GivEnergy, Tesla, SolarEdge)MCS Solar PV qualification or equivalentExperience leading installation teams or overseeing field operationsExperience with G98/G99 applicationsBenefits£55K annual salary plus bonus28 days holiday (incl. national holidays)Company vehicleOpportunity to influence installation processes within a rapidly growing renewable businessSupportive, modern working environmentJBRP1_UKTJ
