This is your chance to shine, contribute your expertise, and grow alongside a company that’s invested in your development.The RoleAs a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, you will be progressing clinical negligence claims for pursuers. This will involve pre-litigation work and litigating in the All-Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court and Court of Session.Our Solicitors are required to work individually and within a team to support the wider needs of the department and the business as a whole. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work autonomously with support from the department Associate Solicitor and supervising Partner. The department is comprised of a Partner, Associate, Senior Solicitor, Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, Paralegals who are all supported by dedicated Legal Secretaries and Legal Assistants.You should be comfortable providing practical and legal advice to clients with care and compassion. Additionally, you will be required to undertake Court advocacy and to instruct both Counsel and expert witnesses. Your caseload will give you the opportunity to handle a wide variety of cases such as delayed diagnosis, hospital negligence, GP claims, surgical negligence, birth injury cases, and fatal accidents.This role presents an opportunity for the right candidate to develop personally and professionally within the firm. We also offer hybrid working to enable a better work-life balance.Key Requirements2-5 years PQE Experienced in handling and progressing litigated cases in the Sheriff Court and ASSPIC and/or Court of Session Experienced in progressing pre-litigated cases Strong advocacy skills Good knowledge of Court practice and procedures Knowledgeable in personal injury law and able to interpret legislation and case law A strong communicator with good organisational skills Compassionate and empathetic with good client handling skills Able to work independently and use initiative A good time manager and able to meet deadlines, multi-task, and prioritise A hardworking team player with a positive outlook IT proficient Commercially aware and focused on meeting key performance indicators and targets Company Benefits & PerksCompetitive Salary Excellent Company Maternity and Paternity Benefits 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
