Job DescriptionMacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a values-led and ambitious business, based in North Colchester. Reporting to the Directors, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in providing relevant and timely financial and management information to meet the ever-growing needs of the business. The successful Finance Manager will be a confident individual with the ability to take a hands-on approach for accounting/reporting across the business and drive the necessary changes to current processes and procedures to deliver succinct and timely management reporting and analysis.Key tasks and responsibilities\tMonthly management accounts preparation, ensuring commentary on variances is accurate and useful. This will include evaluating, interpreting and investigating the cause of any variances.\tPreparation and reporting to budgets and forecasts, working with the management team to interrogate and challenge their financial performance.\tDesign, implement and maintain KPI dashboards to support decision making.\tResponsible for addressing queries from the leadership team including producing ad hoc analysis.\tContinuously seek opportunities to improve the performance of the finance function and internal controls through the evaluation and optimisation of processes.\tEnsure accounting records are maintained on a timely and accurate basis within the finance system.\tMaintenance of cash flow forecast to support the business.\tProvide financial information to the leadership team to enable them to achieve objectives.\tDevelop and mentor two direct reports.Qualifications and experience\tQualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), qualified by experience will be considered\tExperience in product-based SMEs\tStrong management accounting, cost control, and stock accounting skills\tConfident presenting financials to both directors and managers\tStrong communicator - patient, clear, and able to adapt your style\tPeople manager with process improvement mindset\tAbility to be hands-on and get into the detailTo find out more about this opportunity, please contact Stephanie at MacKenzie King
