Job DescriptionData Engineer (PowerBI & Python) - Glasgow (Hybrid, 50% of month in the office) - £50k - £60kMeraki Talent’s global financial services client is actively looking for an experienced Data Engineer with particular prowess in PowerBI and Python, to join their growing global team. This person will be the first individual on site in Scotland, but form part of an existing larger European team.You will own the design and improvement of a strategic platform that consolidates communication channel data. This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data professional with exceptional skills in PowerBI and Python, to work within a growing data capability for this regarded financial services firm.Responsibilities of the Data Engineer (PowerBI & Python):Platform tool development and maintenanceExtend and maintain the internal tool using Power BI, Python, MS SQL and Power AppsDesign, build, and document APIs that integrate upstream and downstream systemsOptimise schemas and queries to improve performance and resolve technical issuesAutomate data ingestion pipelines and enhance data controls to ensure reliabilityRefine the user interface and experienceBackground of the Data Engineer (PowerBI & Python)Particular strength in PowerBI is essentialA good grounding in Python is essentialSolid understanding of data engineering, integration and ETL concepts/processesGovernance mindset is essentialDecent MS SQL, PowerApps and PowerAutomate skills also handyApply now for a confidential chatPlease note: You must have full UK working rights and be willing to be in the office in Glasgow 50% of the time.
