The role reports to the Production Supervisor supporting the precision electro-mechanical assembly of high-value imaging products and systems, including nuclear and high-temperature cameras.Purpose of the RoleTo assemble mechanical and optical components into finished products, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering specifications. This includes optical lens assembly and light soldering tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble imaging cameras and systems using detailed engineering drawings and company proceduresCoil WindingCollaborate with team members to meet or exceed production timelinesCommunicate effectively with supervisors and stakeholders to resolve manufacturing issues.Ensure products are built to specification and within planned timeframesMaintain high standards of quality and consistency across all buildsUphold Mirion's core values: Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Innovation, and RespectAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport departmental goals for on-time delivery and production efficiencyEnsure uniform build quality across all mechanical assembliesAccurately record time spent on tasks and submit weekly timesheetsVerify product readiness for transfer to subsequent departmentsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentUse resources efficiently to meet production goalsComplete production and quality documentation accuratelyFollow and contribute to continuous improvement of production proceduresQualifications & ExperienceTime-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environmentProficient in interpreting and working from complex engineering drawingsSkilled in mechanical assembly and confident in raising queries when specifications are unclearCompetent in operating workshop machinery: Pillar Drill, Lathe, Milling, and Grinding equipmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient in using MRP systems and digital drawing viewers
