Job DescriptionFacilities Manager – Secure EnvironmentRole SummaryResponsible for the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of all facilities and critical building services within a high-security site. Ensures maintenance, statutory compliance, contractor control, and site resilience while working to strict security protocols.Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily facilities operations, ensuring uptime of M&E, HVAC, power, fire, water, lifts, and building fabric. * Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance via CAFM, meeting SLAs and maintaining full asset records. * Manage statutory compliance (fire, electrical, water hygiene/Legionella, LOLER/PUWER, asbestos, COSHH). * Lead permit-to-work and safe systems (hot works, isolations, confined spaces, working at height). * Procure, onboard, and supervise security-cleared contractors; enforce RAMS and secure-zone rules. * Support audits/inspections and maintain audit-ready documentation. * Manage facilities budgets, lifecycle plans, and continuous improvement/energy efficiency. * Work closely with Security, H&S, IT, and Operations on resilience and change control. * Provide incident response and participate in on-call rota as required.Essential Experience & Skills * Facilities management background in secure/critical or regulated environments. * Strong knowledge of building services and compliance obligations. * Proven contractor management in restricted areas. * Budget control, reporting, and stakeholder management. * Calm, discreet, and decisive under pressure.Desirable * NEBOSH General or equivalent
