Our commitment to excellence has earned us a strong reputation, and we're looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to our continued success.The Role:So, what will you be doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer?Develop innovative, robust mechanical design solutions from requirements and design briefsProduce concept and detailed designs using CREO Parametric CADPerform supporting calculations and analysis to justify design decisionsCollaborate with SMEs, Users, and Design Authorities (Lethality & Physical Design)Work within a team of engineers to deliver integrated sub-system solutionsSupport CAD engineers in producing drawings and design data packsCreate and present Design Review packs to senior engineers and governance forumsSupport prototyping, manufacture, and purchasing activitiesConduct physical testing and design proving of prototypesEnsure compliance with applicable industry standards, programme safety requirements, and legislationWhat are we looking for in our next Mechanical Design Engineer?Proven experience in the defence industry, specifically with Armoured Fighting Vehicles and associated systems (e.g. Survivability, Lethality, Structures, Communications, Sights & Sensors)Strong mechanical design background with full lifecycle experience from conceptExperience designing complex mechanisms and linkagesIn-depth working knowledge of CREO CAD (parametric modelling)Experience using Windchill PDMAbility to perform basic structural and kinematic calculationsKnowledge of materials (armoured and non-armoured), surface treatments, and finishing processesTrack record of delivering designs for harsh operational environmentsHigh attention to detail and strong engineering documentation skillsAbility to plan, coordinate, and problem-solve independently and within a teamAerospace and/or military platform design experiencePrevious work on safety-critical or high-integrity mechanical systemsSo, if you are interested in joining a well-established, renowned, globally recognised organisation working with experts in their field as the next Mechanical Design Engineer, hit that apply button nowHow to Apply:Showcase your expertise and passion for Mechanical Design Engineer.
