Logistics Analyst

OverviewAzenta Life Sciences are seeking an experienced Logistics Analyst to assist our global team in a full-time position. This opportunity will allow you to utilize and build your experience with international logistics, your understanding of incoterms, and your problem-solving abilities in order to help serve our businesses and customers. Candidates should have a strong systems aptitude and working knowledge in global transportation carriers and services.This is a site based position in Wotton, Surrey. Due to rural location of the site own transport is requiredWhat You'll DoAnalyze freight contracts (ocean, air, domestic, international) and shipping routes to assist in contract negotiations. Implement freight payment services for our international locationRequest freight quotes from our approved carriers; Prepare and evaluate rates/proposals from a competitive standpointMaintain contract rates and tariffs, including applicable surchargesPrepare and update rate summaries in excelReview and evaluate freight invoices for accuracyWork with our internal cross-functional teams, vendors, freight forwarder and carriers to make sure inbound and outbound shipments are booked and shipped timely, and in the most cost-efficient method, across our broad carrier baseProvide internal customer support to Compliance, Supply Chain, Global Operations, and Finance. This is specific to daily tracking, expedited shipments, product freight cost analysis and invoice approvalMonitor volume and spending in all logistics categories and identify cost saving opportunitiesEnsure General Ledger coding of freight invoices is accurateCollaborate with freight forwarders and carriers on a routine basis regarding performance issues and resolution, or to file damage claimRequired QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related fieldProven experience with International LogisticsExperience with cold chain logistics and arranging biological sample shipmentsUnderstanding of Hazmat Dangerous Goods shipping requirementsUnderstanding of biological sample permittingExperience working with Oracle Cloud or Oracle systemsExperience working with Freight Payment systemsGeneral knowledge of transport tariffsStrong systems aptitude with a working knowledge in Global transportation carriers and servicesStrong understanding of incotermsExcellent troubleshooting and problem solvingHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Ability to analyze data and utilize findings to make improvements#J-18808-Ljbffr
