Management Accountant

To produce accounts for multiple UK entities and supporting to produce consolidated Group accounts. Also supporting the production of detailed reports on key business areas to the management team.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain fixed asset registers, calculating and recording monthly depreciation.Produce monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts with analysis and variance reporting.Analyse financial performance, including variances against budgets and forecastsConduct cost analysis and produce commentaryCollaborate with business stream owners to provide financial insights and performance trackingDevelop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial modelsAssist with cash flow forecasting and working capital managementEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting standardsProvide support during internal and external auditsPrepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, investigating variancesProvide support to colleagues within the finance team to ensure efficient operationsPreparation of quarterly VAT returns for submissionAssist with cash flow forecasting and working capital managementRecommend improvements to financial systems, processes, and reportingPerson skillsProfessional accounting qualification preferred or considerable time-served QBEProven experience (2–5 years) as a management accountant, financial analyst, or similar roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reportingProficient in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, XERO, and most importantly SAP)Very strong Excel knowledgeAccuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to handle sensitive, confidential informationExcellent organisational and time management abilitiesHill Robinson believes diversity drives innovation.
