Job DescriptionProject Manager – North East Highways Scheme Industry: Highways / Infrastructure / Bridges Contract: 12-month | Outside IR35 Rate: £400.00 per shift Start: January 2026We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to take the lead on a £10 million flagship project within the North East National Highways Framework. This is a standout opportunity to deliver a major highways, bridges, and pipeline scheme that will shape future infrastructure across the region. ️As Project Manager, you’ll drive the project from concept to completion—ensuring safe delivery, maintaining programme performance, managing commercial targets, and steering a high-performing team. You’ll be at the heart of a major national investment, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary partners.ResponsibilitiesLeading end-to-end delivery of a major highways and infrastructure schemeCoordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractorsManaging programme development, progress tracking, and reportingDriving top-tier health, safety, environmental, and quality complianceOverseeing budgets, forecasting, and commercial performanceIdentifying risks and implementing mitigation strategiesBuilding strong client and stakeholder relationshipsSkills & Experience ️ Proven PM experience in civil engineering (highways, bridges, pipelines)️ Strong leadership and people management abilities️ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement️ Deep knowledge of H&S compliance and site safety️ Commercial awareness and cost-control expertise️ Programme planning and risk management capability️ Experience delivering within a national framework environmentCertificationsSMSTSCSCS CardFirst Aid at WorkTo find out more information please get in touch with Joe Lunt @ Morson Edge on (phone number removed) or (url removed)
