Job DescriptionOur client, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Lead Project Scheduler to join their team at the Portsmouth Naval Base on a contract basis.Job Overview:This role involves the meticulous planning and scheduling of key projects within the Maritime Services business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that project timelines are accurately planned and maintained, contributing to the continued success of the projects within the Defence & Security sector. This position requires full-time on-site presence at Portsmouth Naval Base.Key Responsibilities:Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for various maritime projectsCollaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are realistic and achievableMonitoring project progress and updating schedules as necessaryIdentifying potential scheduling conflicts and proposing solutions to mitigate delaysProviding regular reports on project status, highlighting any scheduling issuesEnsuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standardsSupporting the successful delivery of projects by offering expert scheduling adviceJob Requirements:Experienced in project planning and scheduling, especially within the defence or related sectorsProficient in scheduling software and tools, with the ability to adapt to various technologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on stakeholder engagementAttention to detail and a commitment to meeting project deadlinesAbility to work full-time on-site at Portsmouth Naval BaseUnderstanding of IR35 regulations and hybrid working arrangementsAdditional Information:Role: Lead Project Scheduler (Ref- V05350)Business Unit: Maritime ServicesLocation: Portsmouth Naval BaseDuration: 6 months (ongoing sick leave)Security level: To be confirmedIf you have significant experience in project planning and scheduling within the Defence & Security sector and are ready for a challenging role, we would like to hear from you.
