Job DescriptionTQR Plymouth is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer based near Plymouth, seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer ready to take the next step in their career. This is a hands-on role with supervisory responsibilities, offering a clear path into aleadership position with a business that is committed to your professional development.Youll be joining a forward-thinking business that values its engineering team and invests heavily in training, progression, and modernisation.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support a small shift engineering team (12 engineers per shift).Diagnose and repair faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, steam,electrical, and robotic systems.Drive improvements in reliability and maintenance scheduling.Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and support TPM initiatives.Assist with machinery installations, commissioning, and decommissioning.Liaise with external contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.Champion Health & Safety and promote a proactive safety culture.Identify repeat issues and contribute to long-term engineering solutions.Candidate Profile:NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND desirable).Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance role - with mechanical biasStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.A natural leader with a collaborative mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.Whats in it for you?Career progression into supervisory and reliability-focused roles.25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.Profit-related bonus (after 12 months).Loyalty bonusesRetail discounts, cycle to work scheme, and free on-site parking.Structured training and development pathways.Shift Pattern:Weekly rotating shifts:Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00If you're a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to step up, lead a team, and grow within a supportive and progressive environment, wed love to hear from you.Apply nowwith your CV or contact Martin at TQR Plymouth for more information.JBRP1_UKTJ
