Transport Supervisor

**Job role: Transport Supervisor Nights**

**Location: Knowsley, Liverpool**

**Salary: £29000**

**Shift Pattern: 4on 4off**

Menzies Distribution are looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our team, providing a first class service in Knowsley. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the workload within the depot and will be required to organise and manage the departureof delivery vehicles to help drivers manage a busy schedule.

**Supervisor Duties**:

- Responsible for managing the drivers
- Managing driver holidays and agency requirements
- Job creation and TMS compliance
- Responsible for keeping onsite vehicles and trailers legal and compliant
- Creating and communicating reports relating to customers KPIs
- Problem solving and swapping day plan around to resolve issues that arise during the day
- Organise and manage a busy transport operation
- Manage driver and vehicle compliance for the depot
- Ensure daily briefings and debriefings are carried out
- Ensure all company systems are used correctly and in accordance with instructions issued
- Managing the allocation of work, planning motivating and coaching, absence & return to work interviews, conduct and capability issues.
- Manage the departure of delivery vehicles to help drivers manage a busy multi-drop schedule
- All contact with customers you should be courteous, professional and efficient
- Demonstrate a desire to exceed customer expectations and deliver excellent standards of service
- Develop & maintain relationship with the customers
- Suggest resolutions or escalate complaints, as appropriate

**Supervisor Requirements**:

- ‘Right To Work’ in the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- Hardworking, positive and flexible attitude to work
- Knowledge of all Transport Legislation
- Good PC skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage and influence a team
