**As a Care Assistant at Farthings, you will provide person centered care and support our residents to maintain their independence, this will include supporting with personal care, at mealtimes and during activities as well as offering emotional support.**

Previous experience caring for the elderly would be advantageous, ideally you would have a minimum NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care and Care Certificate or be willing to work towards. However, full training will be given.

Farthings has farmhouse origins and is a home from home privately owned Care Home with 22 beds. Farthings is rated '**good**' in all areas inspected by the Care Quality Commission (**CQC**) and is **band 5 Nottinghamshire County Council** rated. The home holds a **5* food hygiene** rating and has won the **Care Home of the Year** award at the local C.H.A.S.E awards. In addition, Farthings has been awarded a score of **9.6 on carehome.co.uk**, the leading UK care home review website.

We have a **33-hour permanent **position (3x 11 hour shift 1900-0700)

Shifts are pre-planned on the rota and additional shifts can be picked up as and when you choose through our electronic staff rostering app. The hours available will be shift work (07.00-13.00 or 07.00-19.00 or 13.00-19.00 or 18.00-23.00 or 19.00-07.00) including weekends and bank holidays. We pay overtime rates for all bank holidays (1.5x or 2x) and provide a workplace pension.

**Salary: £11.44-£11.59/hour**
