Security Guard

We are seeking a Security Guard to join our team at a short-term emergency housing facility in Caerphilly. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of the residents, staff, and premises. This includes protecting the site against unauthorised access, preventing any disruptive behaviour and responding to emergencies. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern of 3 days on followed by 6 days off.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Patrol and monitor the premises to prevent unauthorised access and ensure the safety of residents.
- Respond to any incidents, disturbances, or emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
- Assist in managing the entry and exit of residents and visitors to ensure only authorized individuals are on-site.
- Provide support to residents, offering assistance when needed while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Record and report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or incidents, ensuring accurate and detailed logs.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain a secure and supportive environment for all residents.
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
- Previous experience in the security industry.
- Have a smart appearance (Good hygiene, well-groomed etc).
- Have appropriate written / oral English skills (Tested upon first stage of interview).
- Provide a 5-year employment history.

Pay: £12.00-£13.45 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 36 per week
