The **Head of Change **role will be responsible for the co-ordination, control and reporting of all change projects and supporting PMO services across the business. This is a key strategic role as we move forward with our digital transformation and the role holder will be confident in working with the senior leadership team to facilitate the translation of the strategic goals of the business into a prioritised and defined portfolio roadmap. With a small team of project resources, the Head of Change must define and drive an appropriate level of control into the delivery of the portfolio whilst ensuring delivery and decision making remains agile and responsive to the changing needs of the business. This is a small to medium sized and dynamic business (300 staff) and the role would suit a hands-on individual used to working independently, flexibly and at pace in a similar environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with the senior leadership team to define and drive forward the roadmap for a portfolio of change for a rolling 12-18 month horizon.
- Provide full oversight for the overall portfolio of change, including individual programme delivery responsibility for any larger projects and line management of a small change delivery team.
- Define and recruit any agreed additional change capability required to support the successful delivery of the roadmap.
- Implement appropriate governance and reporting standards including programme/project plans, business cases, regular reporting, effective risk and issue management and Steering and Project meeting structures.
- Work closely with the Finance business partner to ensure that budgets are managed, and benefits can be tracked effectively.
- Support the continuing improvement of change literacy across the business by communicating, educating and coaching informally on change management at all levels. Help to foster effective collaboration between the product, technology and operational teams to support delivery.
- Communicate regularly and clearly across the business to increase understanding and visibility of the change programme.
- Develop key strategic relationships across technology and operational areas to provide clarity, gain support for change initiatives, drive effective and speedy decision making and ensure stakeholders have everything they need.
- Provide coaching and support for any direct reports and ensure all team members have development plans in place and regular supporting reviews in line with business guidelines.

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience operating in similar roles at Programme or Head of level, preferably in mid-sized enterprises.
- Experience of successfully delivering scale technology implementations into the operation in an agile environment.
- Driven to deliver business outcomes with a passion for benefits realisation
- Ability to influence and inspire. Can quickly build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Articulate and concise. A clear communicator able to think creatively and strategically but where necessary able to provide hands on delivery support to consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience of building strong change delivery teams and bringing people together to work towards a shared goal.
- Highly organised and detail oriented with a proven ability to be self-directed, working with mínimal supervision.
