My client works in a sustainable and efficient manner helping to minimise the impact on the environment.
**Description**
**The key responsibilities would include**:
- Attend client/supplier meetings when necessary
- Understand the clients (pricing, demand, budgeting), create and support optimal products and services
- Play an active role in obtaining credit information from clients, negotiating with energy suppliers to resolve credit concerns and minimising any security deposit requests
- Be part of a team with shared responsibility for transacting wholesale gas and electricity volumes
- Support the account management and new business development teams
- Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all European regulatory markets
- Communicate with utilities, local distribution companies, and public utility commissions to gather timely, accurate, and complete energy market intelligence
- Maintain relationships and communicate regularly with supplier partners
- Develop and maintain required client reporting tools for procurement team
- Develop and maintain comprehensive toolsets for risk management and market assessment for procurement team
**Profile**
- Able to speak one or two additional European languages (German, Spanish, Dutch etc)
- Previous utility experience
- Ability to analyse complex data sets
- Experience in a client facing role, working directly with customers / suppliers
- Project management skills and able to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills
- Degree level in Economics, Maths, Business or engineering is desirable
