**Permitting Officer**
A vacancy has arisen for a Permitting Officer reporting to the Permitting Manager and will also work as support to the Programme and Delivery team to provide administration support.
Lightning Fibre is the leading local alternative network for Full Fibre broadband in East Sussex. Our broadband network has the ability to supply everyone with not just 1 Gigabit broadband but with multi-Gigabits and not just download either, uploads too.
We are a community orientated network operator, whose aim is to significantly upgrade our regions broadband infrastructure, providing local jobs and acting as a vital enabler to grow our digital local economy, thereby creating further quality jobs. Lightning Fibre has bold plans afoot with Eastbourne and Hastings at the forefront.
**The main duties include the responsibility for the following**:
- Preparation of permits ready for submission.
- Updating Street works permits liaising with Highway Authorities.
- Tracking and updating any potential Defects / FPNs / S74’s
- Receiving and processing live work start and stops.
- Running daily permit reports to action
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Experience within utilities
- Knowledge Street Manager
- An excellent communicator
- Excellent time - management skills
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:
- Energy & Utilities Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
