Job Overview: We are seeking experienced Production Operatives to join our team. As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, operating and maintaining injection moulding machines to produce high-quality products. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and ability to work efficiently will contribute to our overall production success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and monitor machines to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality.
- Set up and prepare machines for production runs, including the installation of molds, calibration of machine parameters, and adjustment of machine settings.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on machines to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and control production processes, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product specifications and minimize waste.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet established standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues and machine malfunctions in a timely manner, escalating complex problems to the maintenance team.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of orders.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine logs, production reports, and quality control documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing suggestions for process enhancements, cost reduction, and productivity optimization.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Production Operative
- In-depth knowledge of machines, their operation, and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production issues effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production targets.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for recording production data and accessing work-related information.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with different types of polymers and their processing characteristics.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

**Salary**: From £10.60 per hour
