Marketing Executive

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity available in the North East & Yorkshire business unit to join our team as Marketing Executive where you will be responsible for developing and managing internal and external communications, plan and implement marketing strategies that promote the business unit throughout the region and develop new and existing relationships that maintain strong beneficial connections.

You will need to have exceptional organisational, oral and written skills, confidence and professionalism to speak to anyone and quickly build trust and have experience of using all social media platforms to create innovative content and campaigns that grab the attention of your audience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Increase site and office staff engagement through the creation and execution of compelling internal communication initiatives, that motivates our team.
- Support external communications and community engagement activities, including support for key campaigns and activities (such as award submissions) as required.
- Plan and manage the delivery of key corporate initiatives, such as events, hospitality and other campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with the various teams to develop, maintain and ensure consistency of brand standards.
- Create a library of professional quality materials and content, (including project case studies, video, photography and other digital assets) for use across multiple channels. This includes working with internal designers and stakeholders.
- Support the regional senior management team with ad hoc communications as required, including during crises and incidents.
- Assisting with PR activities and close liaison with Galliford Try Group Communications team.
- Communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships.
- Develop marketing plans, advertising, B2B marketing and campaigns.
- Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns.
- Assist in producing creative content, including videos and presentations.
- Assist with writing and editing pre-qualification and expression of interest documents.
- Maintain and update customer relationship database - Oracle CX.
- Develop site branding proposals in conjunction with site teams and Graphic Designer.
- Manage activity calendars and project matrix to ensure the team maximises opportunities for promotion.
- Source, draft and create content for engaging social media posts from around the business and assist the team with the management of our social channels.
- Assist with the maintenance of the group’s websites and intranet.
- Help manage relationships within the business and participate in wider business networks.
- Assist in the delivery of internal newsletters.

- Excellent written English and communication skills
- Flexibility to meet time pressures to deliver content on time
- Writing, editing and copy-writing skills
- Adaptability and drive to progress the role into other areas including Business Development as and when necessary.
- Strong time management and adherence to deadlines
- A naturally inquisitive nature to challenge ideas and provide innovative solutions
- Display a creative flair in their writing and ensuring high standards of accuracy and document control.
- Adaptable and able to deal with changing project requirements.
- Evidence of content creation across a number of channels, including social media.
- Strong communications skills, with a commitment to collaborative working, both within a team and a corporate environment
- Proactive and highly organised, with ability to work in a fast-moving environment and strong attention to detail.

**Qualifications**:

- Have previous experience in either a consultancy or construction business
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the region and on occasion the UK
- Adaptable to deal with changing project requirements
- Familiarity with Microsoft suite, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and desktop publishing software packages
