**Scope of the role**:
Located in the Machine shop department the CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing parts to fulfil Assembly, Aftermarket and Spares requirements.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Be highly involved in contributing to the entire manufacturing process, from completion through to delivery.
- Ensure procedures are adhered to and documentation is controlled and good quality parts are given to Stores in time
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machining centres
- Producing complex components in accordance with quality, delivery and cost requirements
- Working and measuring to very tight tolerances
- Flexibility across various departments to include turning, milling, grinding, boring, file and dress, heavy machining and inspection as and when required
- Working from and understanding engineering drawings and computer generated models
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and plan workload effectively to achieve targets
- Prove out and editing of CNC Programmes
- Act as a positive role model for good Health & Safety practices

Profil
- Apprenticeship trained engineer
- Practical knowledge of milling, boring, turning and grinding processes.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing practices: continuous improvement, 5S, Right first time etc.
- Customer service attitude
