**Information Security Manager** SearchDATA are currently recruiting for an Information Security Manager for a leading distribution business with offices in Harrogate and Castleford.

Within this role you will own and develop the company security strategy and be responsible for delivering a secure computing environment to the group. You will also lead a small team of Information Security Analysts who ensure the systems meet and exceedsecurity standards.

You will also be responsible for keeping the business up to date with changes ensuring their systems continue to be fit for purpose.

**What we can offer**:

- 45-55k basic salary

**Key Responsibilities and tasks**:

- Set and own the strategic direction for IT Security in the Organisation
- Develop the IT security roadmap to improve the security landscape
- Create, maintain and deliver a continuous security improvement plan
- Coach and mentor team members to ensure they have the skills and ability to deliver exceptional service levels
- Support senior managers with internal and external audit activity
- Manage strategic 3rd party relationships ensuring the business receives excellent service and value for money
- Validate security configurations for infrastructure and new services
- Contribute to the knowledge management system and ensure all known problems and fixes are updated
- Keep up to date with technology and security developments within the industry and make recommendations where appropriate
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed throughout the organisation

**Competencies and skills**:

- Demonstrable experience of managing cyber-security in a complex IT landscape
- Experience of leading technical teams
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Analytical and problem solving capabilities
- An understanding of ITIL processes and procedures
- Demonstrable knowledge of the following:

- Strong working knowledge of security infrastructure
- Experience of managing penetration tests
- Threat prevention and detection technologies
- End-user security
- OS and device patching
- Windows Server and Active Directory Services best practices
- Microsoft/Office 365 administration
- Experience of cloud services (Azure and/or AWS)
- Experience using an IT Service Management Tool
