Z-Tech provides mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation (MEICA) maintenance and project delivery services across a customer base that covers the Water, Energy and Transport sectors, with additional customers across our adjacent markets such as chemical and pharmaceutical engineering.

This is a great opportunity for the engineers of tomorrow to develop practical and engineering skills across a broad range of topics and initiatives to take out into the STEM environment solving customers’ problems and fixing things

**What will you be doing?**

**Year 2** will be the start of your Level 3 part of the Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard in either mechanical, electrical and/or control & instrumentation (MEICA). This will be conducted at the workplace alongside experienced technicians and engineers across our apprenticeship pathway programme through our 5 Business Units (Water, Energy, Rail, AES & Labour), where you will be assessed on site. You will also be continuing your day release with our training provider to complete the 2nd and final year of the Level 3 diploma in Engineering.

**Year 3 and 4** will be the continuation of the Level 3 part of the Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard in your chosen disciplines until you have completed your mandatory assessments and achieved sign off from our training provider’s assessors.

Throughout the apprenticeship scheme you will be assessed against the criteria of the learning outcomes and Z-Tech’s values. Based on these performance criterion, during years 3 and 4 you may be offered the opportunity to complete a Level 4 HNC diploma in an engineering discipline suited to the industries Z-Tech operate within.

**Educational requirements**:

- GCSE grades at 4 or above (A-C), in Maths and English or functional skills at level 2 as a minimum.
- If you are yet to sit your exams or waiting results, we still want to hear from you if your predictive grades meet our requirements._
